Buffalo drivers have two potent power plant options to choose from, including the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. For greater torque and efficiency, a 2.0-liter Direct-Injection Turbo Engine with eTorque Mild Hybrid System can be optioned on all Wrangler models. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it generates 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

From inclement weather to technical trails, the Wrangler is equipped to handle it all, maximizing power transfer via three available 4x4 systems: Selec-Trac®, Command-Trac®, and Rock-Trac®. Highly flexible, the Wrangler maintains contact with the ground on uneven terrain thanks to enhanced suspension and axle articulation. Excellent ground clearance and approach/departure angles allow it to easily navigate over trail obstacles; and, with a high air intake, sealed electrical connections and moisture-resistant body openings, Wrangler can move through water crossings up to 30-inches deep.
